TERMS & CONDITIONS
FOR GUARANTEE CLAIMS

This Anti-Mould Guarantee (“Guarantee”) is provided by Hiap Soon Heng Paint Pte Ltd (“the Company”) and applies only to customers who have successfully registered their guarantee via the official guarantee activation system.

1. GUARANTEE ELIGIBILITY

1.1 The Guarantee is valid only if:

  • The guarantee has been successfully registered online; and
  • Registration was completed within fourteen (14) days from the date of application; and
  • Proof of purchase (invoice or receipt) has been submitted and verified.

1.2 Unregistered systems, late registrations, or incomplete submissions are not eligible for any guarantee claim.

2. GUARANTEE COVERAGE

2.1 The Guarantee covers visible mould regrowth on surfaces specifically registered during guarantee activation.

2.2 Coverage applies only to:

  • Normal indoor residential or commercial environments; and
  • Areas coated using the anti-mould system purchased from the Company.

2.3 Coverage period is determined strictly by the system purchased:

  • Fast DIY System – 6 months
  • Full Anti-Mould System – 12 months
  • Certified Applicator System – up to 24 months

No extension or upgrade is implied unless expressly stated in writing by the Company.

3. WHAT IS NOT COVERED (EXCLUSIONS)

The Guarantee does not apply to mould or defects caused by, including but not limited to:

3.1 External or structural issues:

  • Water leakage, seepage, rising damp, plumbing defects, roof leaks, façade cracks, or waterproofing failures.

3.2 Environmental or usage factors:

  • Poor ventilation, condensation, persistent high humidity, air-conditioning leaks, or prolonged moisture exposure.

3.3 Application-related issues:

  • Application on wet, contaminated, oily, dusty, or unstable substrates;
  • Failure to follow the recommended application system;
  • Mixing with other brands or unapproved products.

3.4 Third-party interference:

  • Repainting, patching, cleaning with harsh chemicals, or alterations by third parties after application.

3.5 Natural wear and tear or cosmetic changes not related to mould regrowth.

4. CLAIM SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

4.1 All claims must be submitted via the official guarantee claim channel and must include:

  • Valid Guarantee ID;
  • Clear, recent photographs of the affected area;
  • Confirmation that the issue is within the coverage period.

4.2 The Company reserves the right to request:

  • Additional photos or information;
  • An inspection, where reasonably necessary to verify the cause.

Failure to cooperate may result in claim rejection.

5. CLAIM ASSESSMENT & OUTCOMES

5.1 Upon review, a claim may result in one of the following outcomes:

  • Approved – eligible for remedy or refund;
  • Inspection Required – further verification needed;
  • Rejected – claim falls outside coverage or exclusions apply.

5.2 The Company’s assessment will be based on:

  • Registered details;
  • Submitted evidence;
  • Application records;
  • Reasonable technical judgment.

6. REMEDIES & REFUNDS

6.1 Where a claim is approved, the Company may, at its discretion:

  • Provide replacement product; or
  • Issue a refund limited to the original purchase value of the registered system.

6.2 The Guarantee does not cover:

  • Labour costs;
  • Repainting costs by third parties;
  • Consequential, indirect, or incidental damages.

6.3 Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within a reasonable timeframe.

7. MISUSE, FALSE DECLARATIONS & FRAUD

7.1 Any false declaration, misrepresentation, altered documents, or misuse of the system automatically voids the Guarantee.

7.2 The Company reserves the right to reject claims and take appropriate action where abuse or fraud is reasonably suspected.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

8.1 To the fullest extent permitted under Singapore law:

  • The Company’s total liability under this Guarantee shall not exceed the amount paid for the registered product system.

8.2 The Guarantee is provided in addition to, and does not exclude, rights available under applicable consumer protection laws.

9. MODIFICATION & TERMINATION

9.1 The Company reserves the right to:

  • Update or amend these Terms & Conditions from time to time;
  • Apply the version in force at the time of guarantee registration.

10. GOVERNING LAW

10.1 This Guarantee and all related claims shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore.

Guarantee applies to mould regrowth on treated surfaces under normal indoor conditions. External water ingress, structural defects, or misuse are excluded.
